That will be the shocking twist at the end of this new project.
Vatican III's post-credits screen will show that everything people thought was killed off in the controversial Vatican II sequel will be alive and well and that Vatican III is also a worthy sequel to Trent that finishes what the first one started (liturgically and when it comes to converting the protestants)
I too want a Second Council of Trent. But I now think Vatican III, the reboot sequel, is more important first. Then the Second Council of Trent, whose plot line would be to undo the Reformation and re-establish unity.
What about the Orthodox? Do they even go to movies? Invite the Orthodox bishops, who we know are real bishops, to the making of Vatican III, the reboot sequel.
We might be able to reboot or add a sequel to the council of Bari, but I have hopes as I discussed with an Orthodox guy here a while back: that "clarification" to Vatican I, as Dr. Kwasniewski has been calling for in his book True Obedience in the Church could resolve things for many of the Orthodox.
However, some of the Orthodox (those who go as Orthobros or convertskis) are a bit more like Star Wars Expanded Universe aficionados. They have their own headcanon in which they could never accept a true unified canon and shared universe for all of the projects in the world of Christianity
I think the third installment will be able to redeem the sequel and the sacrifices of the seemingly doomed (at the end of the second) heroes therein without appearing to be a retcon or discordant reboot.
Oh, that this were true!!!
I, for one, was hoping for Trent II. We are long overdue for a sequel.

Love this!

“In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sanctii”
AMEN!
But what if you actually liked Vatican II: The Empire Strikes Back... Please don't boo me.

It did have a few good scenes. As a movie it didn’t age well. The Vatican III movie could flash back to the better scenes of The Vatican II movie.
Oh this is hilarious! Pray it will be true!
