I love how you set this in the same way liturgical arguments are! But I wish the Vatican had kept the old look. The one website that didn't look bland is now going to look like every other site on the internet. 😩
I'm all for progress, but I miss the warmth and coziness of the ancient Catholic Church's website. There's just something "homely" about it, even if it's outdated. I hope they don't actually change the website's outward look, but perhaps they could do something to improve search results and make navigation easier. Thanks for the good laughs as usual. Very much appreciated during these tense times. God bless!
This is the one change I can get behind. Though it’s a work in progress. You click on links to things beyond the homepage it still has that tan background and 90s website look.

Looks like they made it about the man and not the Vatican. They're visually propping him up as hero to the rescue.
The parabola underneath the pope is ovbviously also an upside down masonic arch
“Modernism destroys the Traditional Vatican Website” -The Babylon Bee
Thank God this actually was satire
Is it? They changed the website and eliminated the old front-end already. Seems like reality to me.
We're the Catholic Babylon Bee... Or actually, the Babylon Bee is the non-Catholic, heterodox version of us. Share us with all your friends!
This is probably a stretch.
Are you sure? The destruction has already happened!
Took the time to actually read the piece instead of just looking at the title and realized it was satire. Well done!
Bring back the Website of the Ages!

They have already done so, and the workshop is still open. Jesuit Web Design Inc. just got a fat check.

Are you a modernist?
I took Web Design. It’s a pain in the butt to code. I sympathize with whomever has to renovate the Vatican website.
I would have offered them the chance to do it on WordPress for free... the only software I really "know"
By the way, we should launch a campaign to get the Vatican and Pope Leo on Substack. The US Department of State just joined.
