The Vatican Trilogy to Conclude with "Vatican III: The Return of Tradition"
The Third Installment Will Reportedly Fix What Many Fans Disliked About the Sequel
Vatican City - Directors of the popular yet recently controversial “Vatican” series put out by the Catholic Church have promised that a third installment rather than a clean reboot of the franchise will be coming soon that will fix the issues many fans have with the particularly disliked sequel.
While the 1870 Vatican I was popular, especially with fans of Trent, a classic that had stood the test of five centuries as a constant favorite, the 1965 release of Vatican II: The Empire Strikes Back had fans complaining in droves about the soundtrack, sudden changes in casting, and confusing, discordant, and radically differently paced plot. The post-credits scene, in particular, where the “bad guys” seemed to win and all of the tradition was subjugated by an angry mob, had millions of fans crying in despair, with some even abandoning the series entirely. Many fans even petitioned the manager of the franchise to retcon the lore and go back to the old mythology that the second installment seemed to subvert in the minds of many viewers.
Now, however, directors of the franchise are promising that sixty years later things “will be fixed” with the next installment of the series carrying the title Vatican III: Return of Tradition. Directors and editors from the Vatican are promising to fix the plot holes, restore the much-loved cast from Vatican I, and even go back to the old soundtrack, scene design, and classic, traditional ways of scripting and composing scenes.
“Expect a tone, format, and plot that will remind everyone of the original and the astounding old classic we all know and love, Trent,” commented one of the producers.
Set for release in about 2029, Vatican III will be available in Churches everywhere according to the rightsholder of the franchise, the Catholic Church.
The Holy Spirit, as usual, will be the head director for the project, and a spokesangel for the Lord also commented that all fans “should have trusted that God would come back around and bring back a positive, uplifting ending by means of the conclusion to the trilogy. Just trust Him.”
Oh, that this were true!!!
I, for one, was hoping for Trent II. We are long overdue for a sequel.
